Best times to visit Providenciales

Deciding when to visit Providenciales should depend on what you like doing and the preferred pace of your vacations.  Visiting during the tourist season is more crowded, and rates for most items, especially accommodation, is significantly higher.

For most activities, there is no seasonality.  Some activites, such as a few of the dive operations, shut down for the 'slow season' which is usually around September and October.

The Tourist Season

The main tourist season on Providenciales runs from about December 15 to April 1. This is also, not surprisingly, the period with the nicest weather. Hotel rates are highest during this period, with even higher peaks between Christmas and the New Year.

The Off Season

This is the rest of the year, from April to November. Hotels will usually charge lower rates, usually around 66-75% as much. Fewer people visit during this time of the year, but it is not unusual for hotels to be fully booked during this period too.

Rainfall

There is generally little rainfall throughout the year, and you will probably get not even a drizzle while you are here. When it rains, however, it may rain quite a lot over 1 to 3 days. The rainiest part of the year is roughly April - July, but rain storms can happen anytime (although rather infrequently).
