Land Sports in Providenciales

Providenciales is filled with fun things to do. If you like exploring, be sure to visit some of the remote areas of the island such as Northwest Point or the Pirates Cave.

Tennis
Most hotels and resorts, and some rental houses, have tennis courts that are complementary to guests staying there. If tennis is important, be sure to check before deciding where to stay!
Provo Golf Club - www.provogolfclub.com  (649) 941-5991  Grace Bay
$10/court/hour (extra $5 for racquet rental)
Bicycling
With the completion of new roads with sidewalks in Grace Bay, bicycling is now a fun way to explore the Grace Bay area. Most hotels rent bicycles. We recommend that you ride on the sidewalks in the Grace Bay area, and not stray out into Leeward Highway or roads without sidewalks. Also remember to drink plenty of liquids.
Jogging
The new Grace Bay road runs for about six miles between Turtle Cove and Leeward, and features a brand-new sidewalk, so it’s fine for walking and jogging. There is also, of course, the beach which is even longer. Be sure to remember to drink lots of water as the intense midday sun dehydrates quickly.
Football
For a change to sit down and be a spectator, watch a TCIFA football (aka soccer) game. Admission is free, and schedules vary. See the TCIFA website for more information at www.football.tc
Beachcombing
Explore desolate beaches collecting washed up shells and junk. The key factor here is “desolate”, so don’t expect to find much on Grace Bay beach. Your best bet on Providenciales is North West Point, or you could rent a skiff and go to one of the Cays.  See our Providenciales beaches page for more information.
